Biography
I began learning photography while I was in high school from my grandfather. My grandfather was an immigrant from Switzerland with a keen sense of detail and a passion for photography. I really enjoyed spending hours together with my grandfather in his darkroom and I learned a lot from him. After high school I took some photography classes, including an Art Photography class. I then studied as an apprentice for this same art photographer. However, the following year I went away to school and then taught English in Japan for a year. When I returned to the U.S. I began a new career and my photography was put on hold. After many years and some critical life events, I found a new love for God, which has grown. I also found and married my wife Min.
Still having a passion for photography, I purchased a new digital camera and slowly returned as an enthusiast. I love many aspects of photography including fine art, studio, and portraits, however in recent years my love for nature photography has really grown. I believe God, the Creator, reveals Himself through nature.
I am a Christian who loves God, and now out of gratitude to Him, I have given up my medical imaging career to serve Him. I also love being out in nature’s beauty with my camera and tripod. I see God’s glory in nature, and I aim to glorify Him in all that I do.
