Biography
While in high school I learned photography fundamentals from my grandfather. My grandfather was an immigrant from Switzerland with a keen sense of detail and a passion for photography. I really enjoyed spending hours together with him in his darkroom. In college I took photography classes, and then I studied as an apprentice for art photographer Edmund Teske. After spending a year in Japan, and then many years in another career, I found a new love and a deep appreciation for God. I also then found and married my precious wife Min.
Still having a passion for photography I returned as an enthusiast. I love many aspects of photography including fine art, studio and portraits, however my real passion is nature and landscape photography. I believe God, the Creator, reveals Himself through nature. Min and I recently returned home to California after living in Japan where I was even able to use photography to connect with people while on the mission field.
I am a Christian who loves God. I love being out in nature with my camera and tripod. I see God’s glory in nature, and I aim to glorify Him in all that I do.
